How to receive Jesus Christ into your life
Are you searching for answers to life?
You are purposed for a personal relationship with Christ. You can find peace, wisdom, forgiveness, freedom from guilt and the Father’s plan for you.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the father except through me. (John 14:6)
Step 1. God’s desire for you is life, abundant and eternal.
Jesus said: “I am come that they might have life, ant they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10). Giving you the abundant life required the supreme sacrifice: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. (John 3:16) He gave His son to provide for us, yet not all people have what He has designed for us to receive?
Step 2. Realizing our separation from God.
There is a gap between God and man. People throughout the ages have made selfish choices to disobey God causing separation from Him.
Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Isaiah 59:2: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and you have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Romans 3:23: All have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
We all fall short and need God to fill the emptiness within us.
Step 3. Accept the fact of our lack and accept the provision that He has given, the only solution to sin and separation from Him.
1 Timothy 2:5: “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus. He is the way and provision for us.
Step 4: Receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life.
Revelation 3:10: “Behold I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
Romans 10:9: “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved.
This step happens by asking Jesus Christ to take away your sin and to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior.
Step 5. Pray to receive Jesus Christ into your life.
The most important prayer of your life
Dear Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. I believe you came and died for me on the cross and shed your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended on high. Forgive me of my sin. Cleanse me. Come into my life. Save my soul. I give you my life. I receive you as my Lord and Savior and my God. I desire to serve you and follow all the days of my life. From this day I belong to you. Amen!
The bible gives you this assurance: “But as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on his name.” ( John 1:12)
